When there is no other
easy option we will panic
and turn on one another
and worry when there is
no point because
that is what we have been raised
to do. In spite of all my barbaric yawps
the universe does not change
and neither do we; but
the futility of the situation
is no more a deterrent
than all the abject fears
we learned watching television
in the age before cable.
